Jason Gathorne-Hardy’s studies in Zoology at Oxford University and the Suffolk farm where he has lived since he was a child has had a profound influence on his work. He studied under Maggi Hambling CBE at Morely College, London and his intimate drawings of animals convey a deft understanding of livestock, wildlife and the countryside where they roam.

Gathorne-Hardy's accomplished paintings and drawings are in many private and corporate collections, including the Hiscox Collection, Adnams Brewery and the collection of Jesus College, Cambridge. In 2012, he co-authored An Artist in the Garden with the painter Tessa Newcomb [Full Circle Editions, 2012] and he is the director of the month-long Alde Valley Spring Festival, which has celebrated Suffolk food, farming, landscape and art every year since 2009.

Seaview Gallery Walberswick is an annual summer pop-up gallery set in the English seaside village of Walberswick, exhibiting paintings, sculptures, prints, pottery and photography for sale by noted and established artists.
